Avenue Magazine/Bissel centre

This was for an insert in the may issue of Avenue magazine. It was painted all by hand, no shop work, which is unusual for me with illustrations.

Gulls, hair

Here's a painting that hasn't yet seen the light of day. On plywood, 4 feet wide, two feet high. I figured I better get it up here.

Skateboards Doodled On

Yeah, I took my two skateboards, sanded them down, spraypainted them white, and then let them ferment in my garage for a couple months before finally getting around to doodling on them with paint pens, followed by a coat of clear laquer spray. Someday I'll do the same thing with my old surfboard. It's a little bigger.

Sketchbook selections

Poorly photographed pages from my latest sketchbook. Darn it, when the sun was out, my camera battery was dead. By the time it charged, storm clouds moved in and the light was bad. You can't win 'em all, it seems.

Screwing around with the smudge tool in shop

Messing around in Photoshop late last night. Weird and interesting things come out. I think that middle one is a pirate fighting an octopus.
